Finally back posting on the gram after being struck down with covid 😅 this was one of my last meals out pre isolation and it was pretty fab!

As a large group, we visited this restaurant earlier in December and ordered from the ‘3 Course Festive Menu’. Pictured is the starter, main and dessert I chose 🥰

✨Starter
Chicken liver pâté topped with cranberry jam, pea shoots and Borough seeded sourdough 🥖
Quite possibly my fave course, the sweet cranberry flavour complemented the salty, rich pâté perfectly. 10/10

✨Main
Slow braised beef brisket, fondant potatoes, buttered greens, carrot and tarragon purée with peppercorn sauce 🥕
I felt that the beef brisket was cooked very well and I loved the contrasting textures between the purée and fondant potatoes. In my opinion, the peppercorn sauce didn’t really make sense in this dish as there was enough flavour in the purée! A simple gravy/ jus would have been enough but still really enjoyed this dish! 7/10

✨Dessert
Christmas pudding with brandy custard and topped with a physalis fruit 🧡
A lovely festive dessert! The brandy custard tasted great and was a perfect thickness. The only thing slightly disappointing with this course was that the menu stated it would come with a winter berry compote and this wasn’t the case 🤷🏼‍♀️ 8/10
